40 Days of Prayer: Charleston School of Law
Charleston School of Law:
"The Founders of Charleston School of Law created this law school (only the second in South Carolina) to reach those who were underrepresented in the legal profession and to address inequities that exist among South Carolinians. The Founders created Charleston School of Law with the two main objectives listed in its Mission Statement: (1) To teach the practice of law as a profession, having as its chief aim providing public service; and (2) To teach the law as a means of providing relief for those who suffer because they are helpless, weak, outnumbered or because they are victims of prejudice.” (CSL website)
We have the distinct pleasure of having both professors as well as students from Charleston School of Law attend our church. While many of the students are only with us for a short time before moving into their careers, many have been blessed by the time they spent here and we have been blessed to have them among us. Please lift up the professors who have been called to teach at a school that has a clear vision of helping the overlooked, that can only be a calling. Lift up the students; no one has ever said law school was a breeze. Many have families, jobs and other responsibilities on top of their studies. We pray for strength to finish and wisdom on the path.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
