As people gather together for worship all around the world, we are reminded that we are in a time of Lent. A time of denial and reflection as we walk together toward Easter. We remember that these Sundays are a time to celebrate the upcoming resurrection of our Savior.
But for many right now it may feel as though we have already come to Good Friday, when the world went dark and the curtain was torn in two. We remember, though, when the darkness came and the curtain was torn, it was then that we could CELEBRATE! Celebrate that the curtain is torn, that there is nothing standing between us and our resurrected Lord! While many may be nervous of what's to come, we know that our Lord is in our midst, that He calls us to celebrate all that was done on the glorious cross... yet again we are called to have a mini-Easter, even if you are not able to join us in church take time to celebrate our Risen Lord during this time that so many feel in the dark.
Pray for our congregation and those that are most susceptible to illness.
Go through the church directory and pray over every name, you may not know them, but you can still lift them up in prayer.
Pray for our nation, that we are reminded to love thy neighbor and to be the light of Christ to all we meet.
