SERMON SNAPSHOT: World Communion Sunday, October 6, 2024

Dear Friends in Jesus –

In his first letter to the people of Corinth, Paul is writing to a ragged congregation that seems to have been having a hard time – and have been giving him a hard time.

So Paul begins where he has to, and where he always begins. He offers a definition of himself and those like him. He says, “Think of us as servants of Christ.”

So I am passing that on this day, suggesting that you make this your self-identity, your primary self-understanding as we take up the calling of Christian ministry together in the name of Jesus.

Remember this: You are, we are the priesthood of all believers. Yes – this is what we get to do! :)
