SERMON SNAPSHOT: Sunday, June 2, 2024

Dear Friends in Jesus –

I often speak of the narrative sweep of the Bible; how from the first page of Genesis, to the last line of John’s Revelation, the story is of God’s care, God’s provision and God’s inexhaustible love.

In the 7th Chapter of the Gospel of Luke we are told how Jesus has just restored the health of a Roman Centurion’s beloved servant. Now Jesus and a large crowd head toward a village called Nain.  They encounter a funeral. By design? By chance? Doesn’t matter. The God of compassion, healing and restoration has stopped by and a trajectory of despair is avoided.

We pray to Jesus, “kumbaya” (kum ba yah / "come by here") or "where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them."

Believe it! See you at Pride, and see you in worship!

With great hope –
